What’s in a name?…
Everything! There is a reason so many parents spend days - weeks even – naming their child. It’s a big decision and the first step in creating your child’s identity. So why not celebrate your decision AND your miraculous and unique human being!
A christening is a wonderful way to welcome a child into a family (and into a religion). It also offers the opportunity to appoint God Parents. But if you don’t follow a faith or attend church regularly, you may feel this celebration isn’t open to you... Not at all!
A naming ceremony can be a joyous way to celebrate the birth or adoption of your baby or celebrate an older child and their place within the family. You might recognize and honour future guardians – or Guide Parents - who will remain integral to your children’s lives. It doesn’t have to be a faith-based celebration but maybe you would like a touch of the spiritual, a mention of faith, a blessing, or a prayer but without a full service. Or maybe we just proudly name your child amongst your family and friends. We can celebrate them and who they are; what their personalities already say about them and all the hopes and dreams you have for them as they journey through life.
Any reference to / inclusion thereof of Marvel characters, Disney princesses, wizards, talking animals/vehicles etc. will be FULLY embraced!
