What can I offer you as your wedding celebrant?

I love working with couples and hearing their stories; let’s face it, love stories are the BEST kind of stories! Whether a wedding or a vow renewal, I want to make your perfect ceremony come to life. I will embrace your ideas and, as a well as a bespoke script, I'll help put in place a plan for you to fully realize all your ceremony goals. Nothing makes me prouder than seeing the spark of an idea through to the day itself and it being just as you have envisioned. And with 20 years in the theatre industry under my belt, I like to make sure we wow your crowd with the best possible production we can give them!

We will celebrate your love and union, right from the start.

Your ceremony is the heart of your wedding so it should totally reflect who you are as a couple. It shouldn’t feel like just a formality or ‘the boring bit’; don’t wait for the reception for the fun to start!

Your ceremony will be completely personal to you.

I will write and tell your unique story. Your ceremony will take you and your guests on a journey; one you will all remember forever.

I will embrace your wedding ‘style’ and use that to capture exactly who you are as a couple and your personalities.

We can mix heartfelt with fun, sentiment with laughter, tradition with alternative – however you’d like your ceremony to feel, I’ll capture it.

Whatever visions you have for your ceremony, I will 100% help you achieve them.

Anyone and anything can be included; it’s your wedding so, anything goes!

Should you wish, I can honour any faiths, beliefs, cultures or traditions.

We can also include all or any of the traditional ceremony elements – commitment, vows, ring exchange etc - but with me they will be completely bespoke to you; nobody else will have said those words.

I am a natural public speaker. I will engage your guests, address them with confidence and put everyone at ease.

I’ll create an atmosphere where everyone is ready to celebrate with you, right from the very first words.

A note on symbolic additions…

Symbolic elements are all steeped in their own traditions and meanings and often, a certain culture or heritage. They go further in symbolizing a couple’s union as well as perhaps being a ritual that would sit well within your wedding style. They can also be a wonderful way of including other family members, especially children.

Some examples of popular symbolic additions are, sand ceremonies, hand fasting, unity candles, wine blending (I know!), tree plantings, jumping the broom, rose ceremonies – to name but a few. We can even come up with your own unique way of representing your union and remembering your commitment.

If you’re considering a symbolic element within your ceremony or would just like to know more about how one might enhance your ceremony and your wedding style, let’s chat!

With a connection to all things theatrical, I remain very much in touch with that world and can help and advise in terms of any related element e.g., musicians, singers, performers, venues, photographers etc. Should you require any such assistance, I would only be too happy to offer recommendations and suggestions.

Along with the Association of Independent Celebrants, I am a full supporter of a much-needed change in wedding law reform.
